In October 2004 we made a straw poll amongst 1000 Users. The result showed us unique characteristics of the Internet Users who visit Poland.com:

Our statistics made on Poland.com portal Users' IPs allow us to specify their geographic location. Owing to this data we are aware of the percentage part of Users from particular countries (see the current statistics). Nevertheless, there still remains a question of their connection with Poland. How many of them are part of Polonia (i.e. Polish diaspora) and how many does not have any relationship with Poles? Bearing this question in mind, we made another poll in March 2005.
It’s not so easy to state who is a Pole and who is connected to our country. Especially because these connections vary and often depend on one’s individual belief. Therefore, we decided to specify a couple of indicators that would let us find answers to our questions. The results occurred to be quite surprising. As we thought, a large number of our foreign Users are Polish immigrants descendants of the first or any next generation. However, many Users residing in Poland came from abroad to study or work in Poland.
Here are the graphs showing the results of our review (the poll had been filled in by 1000 people).
